I am devastated.
THE KILLERS SHOWS CANCELLED IN SYDNEY & PERTH
The Killers had hoped that the Australian leg of their current tour would be completed as planned, but due to the severity of the illness of a close family member, they regretfully announce the cancellation of their Sydney Enmore show as well as their shows at Good Vibrations Festival Sydney and Good Vibrations Festival Perth this weekend.
The band apologises to their Australian fans and asks for their understanding. The Killers still intend to perform at the Good Vibrations Festival’s Gold Coast and Melbourne shows next weekend.
The Killers would also like to take this opportunity to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded. They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus.
All tickets purchased using a credit card will be automatically refunded. Any patrons that bought tickets with cash will need to return to the point of purchase with photo ID to obtain a cash refund.
Does any one know who the support act is?? :-)
what time does the whole thingo start??? like what time do the doors open?? anyone know??? :)
The Enmore people say they will probably know when the Killers actually go on stage sometime tomorrow.
Checked ebay and 3 tickets are presently on sale for $400 odd each...
is there any chance of still getting tickets to this?
anyone know when they actually go on stage on friday? ...
@flickr GASP! Really?? Gosh i always thought that the website was selling alot of stuff and alot of people buy from them so i would have nv imagined that it would be a scam. Really hope no one bought as well :(
@surferguy that website 1 sale a day is a scam. good vibes even said so themselves.. :( hope no one went & bought a ticket there.
@JEANPOOL - Well personally i would rather go to the enmore concert than good vibrations and pay more cause it's more intimate and less people to fight with to getting to the front especially if i got front standing... so i can see the draw of paying that much.
@ suferguy - and people are paying $599...
i wish i was there!!!!!!
@surferguy
shit, they're cheap!!
@jigglex fuck, that sucks!! i always thought there were allocations.
@surferguy i hope that guy dies a lonely death. stupid asshole.
CHIN UP, GUYS!!! YOU'LL SEE THEM @ GOOD VIBES ANYWAYS.. i know it's not the same though :(
wow ... some bloke bought 8 and is selling them for $599 each on ebay ...
@flickr: I've asked about all of that ticketek stuff and there's no allocations - outlets, internet and phone all have to pull from the same pool of tickets. The only difference is in some cases, the outlet will be able to search for anywhere up to 20 tickets (as oppose to 4 ticket limit in this case) at once. That said, if there isn't a group of 20 tickets available, everyone at the outlet misses out so it's a risk.
For everyone who's missed out, just keep your head up. I'm sure there are people out there with spare tickets.
for one ticket on ebay some stupid cunt is asking for $400.. and for 2 tickets, $500. yeah, that's reasonable.. asshole!!!
i feel sorry for the people who can't go. read stories about people booking accom & flights, but got no ticket.. that sucks major ballsack!! :(
my friend lined up at ticketek at like 7am & she was the only one in line, even when they went on sale & she didn't get a ticket either. i thought they normally allocated tickets, you know, so amount for internet/phone/people lining up.
weird.
@luthienanwamane: hahahaha epic internets. I love that.
if you can imagine 3000 fans (correct me if I'm wrong about capacity) logging into the ticketek at the same time to grab tickets, you can easily imagine how all tickets go on "dibs" in seconds. It's insane. Without presales I wouldn't stand a chance. I'm all for lining up for tickets (I use to be in line in the wee hours of the morning until internet negated my efforts).
geez... ebay's already hit $250 per ticket and climbing...
Two separate days was on at the time of sale, with a friend on another computer, and neither of us got tickets at all. We refreshed the page at 9. I don't understand how it sells out so quickly.
They should bring back good ol' fashioned queuing at the venue for tickets. That way the die-hard fans can get tickets, instead of scalpers and people with epic internets. =/
