Lastly, The Killers need to step it up and come to Oklahoma, with the right promotion (radio, sponsorships, newspaper and web) you can and will the get the audience they deserve. The Spirit Banking facility will hold between 5-6 thousand people, just about what they play in the U.S. venues.

I have spent a butt load of money on hotels, air and food and concert tickets for this band - that is why i am so passionate; these guys are great and should be put in the best position possible to do their thing. Entertain and make great music. They make life less mundane, even for just couple of hours. So it is well worth it. I will throw in this, I am surviving and living with Cancer - and to think of all the places I have seen The Killers is just a miracle. And they have never failed to give a great show and bring some real magic to my life and others. So they and we as fans really could turn this music up a notch.

Sincerely and always a fan of The Killers, Leslie Johnson PS. I don't need to live in LA or work for Island to understand the bottom line of the record industry - and promotions. My career has been in advertising (agency side). Even the Kansas City show this year, was yet another venue and date that did not sell out could of used better planning and promotion. With the right promotions and planning you could get the audience in these Midwest States, I am sure of it. All I ask is you think about my idea - Tulsa, Oklahoma. Leslie

I give the DVD a B....because of two factors, the acoustic in these theater did no favors to The Killers wonderful music. And while I understood all the beauty of the Royal Albert and how the concert actually went, I felt it could have been more, (creatively), the band shot were great - especially Vannucci - people loved him on screen, they saw just how hard working and relentless his was.The DVD needed something more, like the audience singing to some of their songs more (I know they shot some of this)- that is what makes you feel like you were really there and apart of this big event. Since I do not have the DVD, and I understand there is more on that DVD with the band and such, the viewing was in my opinion in StillWater a let down. I believe the film made about $200 in tickets sales that one night in StillWater.

I loved seeing all the member close up and playing their hearts out at the viewing- but the DVD did not translate to something more creative and upbeat - it consisted of shots and panning. Real moments are about individual people and how their (the Killers) music affects them in the moment, there needed to be more of this. The viewers only got into the viewing when real people were being shot - showing how it moved them by singing or putting their hands on their heart, shaking their heads, Brandon speaking, Dave playing, etc. Was this DVD suppose to be concert teaser?

I feel like your marketing program for The Killers DVD viewing was just slopped together in these theaters and locations together without any real regard for audience size, location (towns) and fans. And I am pretty sure you know where The Killers CD's are selling. I drove 75 miles to see this movie. You could of just as well had it played in Tulsa, OK - bigger town and we had an independent theater that wanted it, and would have promoted it had your promotions department did their homework (plus, there is a huge following of fans in Tulsa, half the views in StillWater were from the Tulsa area.).

Then some of the emails I received had the day of week wrong - and these emails were sent to close to the viewing date. It needed more promotion via the web - and not just to "The Victims" fan club.

One of the reason I went way out of my way to see this viewing is that I was at the concert at the Royal Albert when I was visiting London on July 09.

The Killers are great band and I am joyed by the idea of seeing them on DVD, so much so that I too drove 75 miles to see the screening - and from that experience I felt I had to send some comment to Island Promotions.

I am a huge fan of The KIllers first of all...in 2009 so far I have been 5 shows, none of these shows were in my area, Kansas, Minneapolis, Las Vegas (2) and at the Royal Albert on July 6. I have purchased all their of CD's and went to the DVD release at the selected theater in StillWater, OK.

First, the turn out was sad, this was in StillWater OK. Maybe 15 people at the most. Which I am getting to my point, why would you release a DVD theater viewing at such a venue in an obscure location? The other location was Lawton, OK, even worse. Both towns are small and out of the way - why would you do this? Oklahoma City and Tulsa are the biggest cities - and just because these were "college towns" and maybe you thought there would be a great turn out, your assumption was incorrect-wrong. You would have had a packed party in Tulsa at the Circle Theater - a wonderful theater where all the Indi films play, including "It might get Loud." (this place even serves bear and wine, so it would have been more like a concert - than a film .)

    I

Sigh Just returned from seeing the premiere. It was well worth the looonnggg, very rural, smelly drive out to the middle of Nowhere....TK was amazing! For those who have to wait for the DVD, just know it is SOOOOO worth it!!! And, if the rumors are true and we are in for a long break from our lovely boys, I can't think of a better way to find comfort and solace than to be able to relive this tour experience as needed through DVD.

sklfhsjklgs. So it totally fails that I live 45 minutes away from several theaters in Philadelphia that are showing it, and I can't go. For all of you who don't live in the US, don't feel so bad because I actually live there, and I can't even get a ride. The DVD is going to be freaking awesome though!
